On the morning of January 8th, the 11th home-school forum activity of our school was successfully held in the lecture hall of the east campus. The keynote speaker was Principal Ma Xiu of Weilun International Kindergarten of our school. The forum was presided over by Vice Principal Liu Bing and attended by President Madam Huang Wenli and nearly 600 parents from the east and west campuses.
To be concrete, our school has always attached great importance to the close cooperation between family education and school education and the construction of parents’ school. Therefore, the home-school lectures guide parents to establish correct parenting concepts, help parents learn and master scientific family education knowledge and effective education methods, and create a good family education atmosphere for the healthy growth of students. Centering on the theme of ‘being the master of emotions and living a happy life’, Principal Ma Xiu made in-depth communication and sharing with parents in combination with her own reality from three aspects as follows: ‘the current situation of parent-child relationship’, ‘main causes of parent-child conflict’ and ‘emotion management’. Evidently, Principal Ma Xiu's lecture not only summarized the common problems, but also analyzed various phenomena. In the meantime, it offered parents specific method guidance so that parents were enlightened and benefited a lot.
To conclude, President Madam Huang Wenli also shared school philosophy and family education experience with parents. Madam President expressed that harmonious family atmosphere and good parent-child relationship were more conducive to the healthy growth of children. As parents, under the background of the policy of ‘reducing students’ homework burden and reducing the burden of off-cumpus training for students’, they should actively learn scientific family education concepts and methods, and pay more attention to the influence of family education on children. Last but not least, President Madam Huang Wenli hoped that the family and school would maintain close contact and form a synergy between home and school to promote the children's better growth and development.
